Boston Properties Office Tower | 888 Boylston Street | Back Bay

Why does the Legal need to leave during construction? Isn't it across the hall from the affected wall?

It's a different, simultaneous project to expand the mall. Legal's will move to new space in 888, but it isn't moving because of 888.

Are they just going to close that whole end of the Boylston Arcade past the food court?

From BBJ: "Last month, Boston Properties won approval to add 16,000 square feet of retail space to the Shops at Prudential Center. The $10.5 million project will add the space along the Boylston Arcade on the upper level of the retail center on Boylston Street."

That's all I know.

I am always amazed at how these projects can be in the design, approval, financing etc. stages for years on end, but then they pull the trigger and whammo! The project gets moving quickly.

I always knew Boylston needed a sweat lodge.

Actually, that is all we are getting. Some disgruntled developer heard about us lambasting their project and is getting even. Or is is my fellow hacks at wirednewyork playing a prank. :)

I always knew Boylston needed a sweat lodge.

I will miss this little corner of familiarity from the 60's and the view of the Pru from the sidewalk. But I do welcome the new building...hopefully fit and finishing will reflect renderings.
