Waiting for Rifleman to complain about the 630 people fired today by State Street while this project receives subsidies.

*waits*

Excuse me while I jump to conclusions but I'm so prepared to hate on this one. The facade mockup looks like shit and that panel is even worse.

Are you kidding? It's a much better design than anything at Fan Pier. Granted the bar is pretty low there.

What is this gross material they're cladding this thing with?

Corrugated Fiber One Flakes?

I'm not sure I entirely hate it yet. It has a sort of pre-weathered appeal.

Hold on guys, this might just be really awesome.

I can see what they're going for here and I hope it works. I'm have to give the architect props for trying to make it work and I'll hold back on any serious critiques until we get a few finished floors.

I really like the dark brown material. Not entirely sold on the rust-colored panels yet, but I'll give it time. It's different. I'm... intrigued.

The first angles of the panels going up made me question "I thought they were building the garage behind it?...." But, the added angles help a bit.

Switching to a wait and see.

What's that construction site you see in the foreground in the last pic???
Well that's the parking garage that goes up next to the office building and inexplicably has a far larger footprint.
