EXP | 795 Columbus Avenue | Northeastern University

Does anybody know if the sloped path leading up to the ISEC bridge will be reconstructed at some point? It felt oddly strange for it to be built and then promptly torn up a few months later for EXP construction.

My gut says it will come back eventually since the current handicap-accessible ramp is very much made out of temporary materials, so I doubt that’s the permanent solution.

If you look at Figure 1-2 it appears that there will be ramps to the bridge.

This mini-Science Academic cluster on Columbus Avenue remains one of the most exciting developments in the region.

Unbelievable what Northeastern has become. I've seen a few top notch engineering/science high school students in my region of Montgomery County, MD apply to Northeastern and get REJECTED. It truly has become an elite science and engineering institution. The puck is moving very quickly there.

A friend's kid is going to McGill because the kid was rejected from Northeastern. I remember when it was a commuter school and not even ranked in the top 100. Amazing turnaround story.

With some good decisions I feel Umass Boston could rise up the Umass chain as well, esp once bayside is built out. Who knows if it will though, but it has the capability with some good investments and more dorms.

Those are some badass pictures, BeeLine. I swear you managed to snap pics from just about every angle, from every position, that was physically possible.
 
I'm pretty new to construction timelines, but it seems like they have been making great progress in a short amount of time. But again, I have no idea ;)

Liking the vibe of it a lot. As expected, looks like ISEC's twin sister, just with a slightly more useable floor plan since there isn't a big atrium this time around. When you consider the two buildings together as a joint complex, they'll complement each other very nicely down the road.

Also, as an aside, love the entirely nonsensical whiteboard graphics that they included in the video at times.
 
Found it interesting that Apple Maps already has the rough outline of EXP in a 3D rendering.
