I think when Koch gave the money, he said he wanted this building to go up quick. It has.

The dialogue between this building and the Koch biology building could be quite interesting. It looks like we may even get an urban plaza on the corner in a part of the city where most of the buildings are fashioned after a suburban office park.

Wow. Again.
I'd like to see a little urban plaza, but what I'd like more is a small cafe-type building with a few apartments on top. Make the area less-MIT/science and more real/lively.

Everyday it amazes me how much steel the iron workers and two cranes put up. I do hope there will be some sort of public amenity in that "urban plaza" but MIT doesn't appear to do that sort of thing and with the Food Court, Legal Sea Foods and Sebastian's I don't think there is a market for another eatery.
