JetBlue has begun seasonal weekly nonstop service to Liberia (Costa Rica), Puerto Plata, and St. Lucia.
Awaiting the mass hysteria, even though it's the wrong Liberia.
Flew the inaugural flight to Liberia/Guanacaste Costa Rica - got a free t-shirt and JetBlue had free continental breakfast before the flight. The airline also gave out a couple pairs of roundtrip flights, 20K True Blue Points, caps, and giftbags during the flight.
On the way home I did notice in Terminal E that the baggage area does say B6 898 LIBERIA ----- why don't they just add CR or Costa Rica on the end.
Flight was about 80% full going down and 70-75% full on the way back.
Any predictions on future routes/airlines? Now that A380 gate construction has begun, which airlines will start A380 service in 2016?
Bob Weiss of WBZ/CBS reported that a South American airline is strongly considering adding service:

If it happens there are three options:
Boston-Bogota on Avianca
Boston-Sao Paolo on TAM which will be renamed due to merger with LAN
Boston-Viracopos (Sao Paolo's Manchester Airport) on Azul
Boston-Bogota could be served with a 120 seat A319 so it may be the most likely candidate. However, Avianca doesn't offer the connections that Copa does in Panama and Chicago probably would be a better option for them.
I think at the minimum, JetBlue will add 1 or 2 weekly Caribbean destinations in the middle of 2015 = maybe Barbados or Curacao. Qatar or Etihad announcing service would not surprise me. Personally, I would like to see Vancouver, San Jose de Costa Rica, Copenhagen, and Barcelona happen. I heard a slight hear-say rumor of SAS starting Copenhagen.
JetBlue just announced service to Mexico City from Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando. Who knows - maybe they'll take a shot on Boston-Mexico City.
No chance in hell for Tel Aviv or Mexico City - JetBlue starting the latter from Orlando and Fort Lauderdale makes it even more difficult for an AeroMexico to come in and compete.
