From that perspective it will look about as tall at the BoA building, but not as tall as those boxes on the left side, correct?

If internet stats are right, 33 Arch is 477 feet tall, which means we're about 70% there. 100 Federal (the brown, bong-shaped building just to the right) is 591 feet at a very slightly lower elevation, so the Millennium Tower will be about 100 feet taller than that.

Should be slightly taller than One Beacon when viewed from this angle.... Will still be the tallest thing in view..

Okay, I guess we've established; you can see this building from other places. LOL.

I'm so happy about this! In my humble opinion, 1 Boston Place is the ugliest Building in Boston. I think I just really hate that mechanical top. It just doesn't look right to me. I've always thought a new top of some kind would do wonders here. Anyway, glad the MT will mask this!

I don't think it has fully overtaken this yet. As has been discussed ad nauseam, 33 Arch reaches its full height with those barely visible "blades" running up one side. The glass section is only around 415'. MT is probably pushing about 450'.

Using that number, it's 65-66% of the way up.

I like this building. It's like Boston's version of the John Hancock Building (Chicago's, not to be confused with John Hancock Tower).

The top is one of the only notable things on the skyline coming in from the North. I'd be disappointed if they ever changed this building. It could use a nice new coat of paint though.

funny I took pictures of both today what happen to the sign? >

Two part question:

How many days is it taking them to complete a floor?

How much longer until this thing tops out?

Looks like they got up to the start of the residential floors--floor 5 or so?--at start of last December, based on pictures on this thread. They're now up to about, what, 40 or so?

35 floors in 35 weeks--it's a floor a week. No reason they can't maintain that pace unless something completely unforeseeable occurs.

At this rate, they'll top-out at Halloween.

All I can say is, Suffolk Const. hits all the projected timelines. Did so on MPlace down by the theaters 2 years ago. I'm sure Millennium pays a premium but I'm sure they feel it's justified.

Pics are from yesterday, 6/21. I counted 37 formed floors: 5 base, 1 indented, 18 more fully glassed, 10 uncovered above the glass, and 3 behind the screen.

I expect this to break 500' by the end of the month. Not quite there yet, (although some of these angles definitely trick the eye) but it's moving fast.
