Where there are clouds going by this building looks absolutely wild...

Regarding the open top of this building...if we are going to have more of these open root canal type crowns, then the developers should be required to "dress" the first 6 or 8 feet on the inside down from the inner rim so that one doesn't have a view of the 2 x 4's.

^agreed

also, they should replace the traditional window washing roof crane with this:

I'm still under the impression that this is going to be mostly enclosed, with an opening for the window-washing crane.

OK, I rescind my gas station rant. That's pretty nice.

Still a goofy way for the headhouse to meet the street, but pretty nice.

Is there anything to support this? Know a guy who knows a guy who works on the tower, saw a blueprint, heard a BRA employee mention this this 1 time.... Im interested to see if this happens too. I hope it does I would just think that there would be bracing up by now, a cladding delivery waiting on a pallet, or something along those lines. Nothing seems like it to me, but I hope they sneak it in there one of these days because this tower is amazing from everywhere but from the south bay area it seems like it will always appear unfinished.

Some of the renders seem to support this. There appears to be a covering, with a large slot for the window-washing crane to emerge through.

Could also just be an easy way to do the render (an artifact).

Irishman John Grayken of Lone Star buys the penthouse for $33M.

Damn, he beat me too it.

(Kidding, of course, I'm holding out for 1 Dalton)
