One Greenway (Parcel 24) | 0 Kneeland Street | Chinatown

This is a prime example of doing it the right way while not trying to be gimmicky or break the mold.
 
This development is a huge boost to the neighborhood, and should spur development of the city-owned parcel across Hudson Street (currently a Tufts Medical operated parking lot!)
 
^OUCH! Buildings should know its indecent to let their Cooling Towers show over their mechanical screens.

Other than that, she looks decent. A far cry from the large homeless encampment that was there with lean-to's against the bridge abutment 15 years ago.
 
Lol nothing about all of that other ugly shit on the roof but a cooling tower sticks up 1mm above the glass and its a disaster. This building came out great in my opinion.
 
they are taking their sweet time to install the railing for the ramp. I'm assuming that once it's installed, this will be opened up to the public.
 
From 12/20. I'm a big fan of how this one turned out.







 
This building is a success, I think. I think there is going to be at least one retail business in here, right? The next step would be to develop the lot next door (that's the one for the school) and to get tufts and other holders to put in some street activating retail along the south side of kneeland street

^+1 Absolutely right....

Parcel 25 (which will probably NOT be the school due to cost -- it is partial air rights) and Parcel R1, which is the empty Tufts parking lot just down Hudson across from One Greenway both need solid solutions to further solidify this area.
 
+2. Whatever does go in on the adjacent parcel, it is good no knowing that it will eventually give the same effect that one canal and the future Metabo give to the north side of the Greenway. This will will be the Southside complement.
 
The other parcel will not be a school. That is decided already (the school is looking at 3 sites currently, and this is not one of them).

I heard the next phase of this project will probably start within the next two months.
 
I heard that the second phase (further down Hudson St) should be starting this month!
 
Looks like phase II is underway. Survey crew was out there on Friday, now they have the project signage up this afternoon.
