The State House never fails to be ridiculously beautiful, regardless of the lighting.

These are all amazing. All from this snowstorm?

Thanks! Yeah, all from a Cambridge-Beacon Hill-Back Bay "stroll" the other day.

They all could be made into postcards, especially 1, 2, and 3. Number 3 left me speechless. I'd actually love to frame it and hang it in my apartment, haha.

I would look into selling them and getting them published!

Best photos 2011: piggiston wins.

This photo was taken on August 12, 2002 using a Fujifilm FinePix 2600 Zoom.

^^Where is that? I don't recognize it

Hey Pierce it is located on congress street its the back of 100 Federal. (The Pregnant Building)
They have since shut it down. I started working in Boston in 2000 so it worked till probably around 2004 or so ? Give or take.

Anyone else know anymore history. It was a nice little fountain. its still there just dry no more water flows.

Budget cuts I am sure.

As someone on my flickr stream mentioned the stock market bottomed out a few months after this photo was taken. That mighta had something to do with it. Cheers ! ! !

Love those Mt. Auburn shots!

piggiston, what do you shoot with?
It's the bottom of the line Canon from a few years ago. Rebel XTi I think. And usually whatever cheap lens came with it. Those snow pictures have some contrasty Photoshop stuff going on of course, and at least one is some sort of HDR.

Saw this at the Worcester Art Museum a few days ago. Pic via wikicommons.

I've always kinda liked that building with the twin cupolas near Union Sq.

^ So much for being a good neighbor and shoveling my sidewalk...

Like a premonition of Google StreetView.
