Now THERE'S some great "urban architecture".

I didn't realize how blurry my first picture was, so I took it down and here is the replacement (plus a couple more as is my M.O.)

Are these past 2 posts all from the same roof?

And was there "permission"? :p
 
Same roof. And kinda/sorta permission: I got the OK from the tenant, but he said his landlord would kill him if I left any signs of my being up there.

It's an old masonic lodge on Broadway that was converted into a movie theatre some time in the '20s or '30s, but the original paint job in the main hall--cryptic symbols and all--is still intact. I still gotta edit the interior shots, but rest assured they are coming.

Kz -- very nice shots of and from Chelsea -- its hard to imagine how it never turned into a nice Davis Sq. kind of place -- so close to downtown Boston and yet so isolated
 
It's hard to walk or bike anywhere else from Chelsea. This would be much less true if the low-level drawbridge still existed where the Tobin now is.

As you can see above, the new construction sits in the middle of the space, destroying nothing and preserving virtually everything.

I have been there before, friends with the owner. Its an old Masonic temple. An awesome place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
