To me the heights a non factor. Doesn't block any view of downtown doesn't block any view downtown towards SB Seaport. At least it's not trying to be a stump it just is what it is. Sure a 400 foot tower would have been cool but it just aint happenin and I'm sick of every building being the same height.

Hello parcel J: BBJ article on potential legal issues. The article includes what looks like a render, but which I suppose could be a photo of an existing Yotel-- it's got towers in the background that are distinctly not Seaport.

Somebody didn't do due diligence. Hynes concedes he was offering to sell a parcel which includes air rights over MBTA property that he doesn't own. A defense that he has title insurance does not, by itself, defeat an easement claim/right. Is Hynes actually going to put up a building of his own, or is he selling off the parcels, one by one, for others to develop?

Was outside walking the dog early yesterday. J. Derenzo dropped jersey barriers around parcels B, C and it looked like D as well (all the way up to the chapel) on seaport boulevard and northern avenue sides. Stopped one of the guys to ask what was going on and he said it was in anticipation of closing down the lots and tearing them up for constrction. He indicated it was imminent. Not many cars parked there today and it looked like no one new could come in.

B/w this and the memorial it looks like the entire north ave / seaport blvd corridor up to Pier 4 will be well on their way in not much time at all.

The signs for parcels B & C on northern ave say 832 apartments, 240K retail ready for January 2017 (or was it June, I can't remember).

Confirmed. Just walked by. "No parking" signs 9/20 - 10/20 up on Seaport Blvd.

That's awesome. I wish they had extended the glass around the backside, too, but abruptly transitioning from neo-Modernist glass to blank wall of Alucobond is a trend.

I don't think this has been posted before? Apologies if it has. From Curbed:
