South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

This tower really closes in the view from The Children’s Museum.

It’s only one tower, but its height and placement make the view feel more urban; I’m happy about that.

Sorry if this has been answered, but has this topped off? Is this it, or will mech crown still need to be added?

I think it's there, maybe 1 floor short. From the last pictures above I count 51 floors up to the black shrouded uppermost level (the wide section reaches to floor 35, so counted from there). The tower will be 51 stories tall, but I couldn't square if that was inclusive of all mechanicals or not. This schematic below seems to show it's 52 stories and then the roof. It won't be much taller than it is now, if at all.

Yup, theres 5 total floors above the last setback, two occupiable floors for the penthouse and 3 mech floors. The final concrete floor would be the first mech floor and then there will be two floors of steel/facade for the final two mech floors.

I have a feeling the giant floor on top is actually 2 out of the 3 floors of the crown. If you look to the far left in the most recent picture you can see there's a half-size floor there compared to the rest of it. I'm guessing the steel will only be 1 additional floor for most of the building, but 2 additional floors in that small section.

Yea youre probably right, it does look to be a double height floor.

Edit: nvm I went and looked back at the construction model and it does appear there is indeed 2 more steel floors above the last concrete partial floor.

That angle is kind of weird and hard to visualize so just to be sure I checked the construction sequence video and it appears the same. I screen recorded the crown construction and slowed it down because it goes by it really fast, but then realized I had never tried to upload a video and you cant do that here so I had to post it to youtube.

Great picture/renders guys... I am seeing(agree with DZH22) concrete topped out, one more level of steel framing for mechanical crown

It def could be, I’m not dying on this hill and fully willing to admit I could be wrong. Thats just what I thought I saw but it is kinda hard to tell tbh.
