Also, a fine template for GE to copy on the path of their downward spiral.
 
The ubiquitous metal cladding makes it look like a hospital, and puts it jarringly out of character with the adjacent fine old brick buildings.

An ugly building in my opinion.
 
Are there strict rules against using attractive 'mill or old style' cladding?
 
I'm not a fan, there is just way too much going on and each part is cheap. There should have been a cohesive design.

It's not incredibly bad, but it still looks to me like a hospital. The VA hospital in Jamaica Plain is a similar style.
