I actually think it fits in pretty well in its location, although will wait until the crown is finished before final judgment.

I just don't get why we are building brick boxes in the year 2009....This thing looks more like a 1909 building...

This building is architectural AIDS...

The materials purchasing agent should be shot...or at least fired. And the same goes for the bigwigs who approved their use...

I still don't get why people hate the material. I am almost completely sure that the color of the brick was chosen to match the YWCA next door to it. I say, good choice.

This building isn't so bad. It at least looks urban, albeit a rich man's "project" urban. I think the treatment of the top will either enhance its appearance or be the coup de grace. The original rendering also had trees on its various levels and that, I think, will add to its interest if they follow through with it.

It was yesterday evening and the lighting conditions were just sublime!

Damn Mercurys show up in every photo of the Charles...

Optis and Open Bics are both cheaper, faster, and better for learning sailing than Mercurys, at least for younger children, who are the people I see sailing at CB for the most part anyhow. They'll get 'em eventually, just waiting for a big private donation or corporate sponsorship.
