The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I finally got to see the new glass going up, and it looks great.

Will both the residential and office towers be taller than Nashua St. Residences?

Residential is apparently 496' (according to Odurandina but I think he's correct).
Office is 510'.
Nashua Street Residences is 449'.

It will be a greater than 10% increase in height for the immediate area.

Yes! An Onyx colored/Seagram-like curtain walled skyscraper would be fantastic!

1 Post Office Square are you listening???

posted just recently on Sky City i just found it by accident moments ago clicking on a right Flickr arrow.

Yea people thought this was boring but I liked it. The seaport makes us think we have glass boxes everywhere, but downtown doesnt even have 1. We also dont have a single black glass curtain wall tower. I personally think they look really classy. Something like a combo of what you posted and this would be perfectly fine with me. I hope the natural progression of VEing brings it back to this:

To me this is a perfectly fine no nonsense classy office tower. Pretty much filler but not in a its filler cuz its crap type of way. Filler because it looks good but doesnt scream anything type of way.

Vs this...

Easy; inside the new practice facility.... provided there's enough clearance.

It really is hard to capture the feel in pictures. From last Sunday:

The main entrance foyer off of Causeway Street seems like a really obvious spot.

As an added feature, maybe they could tie it to the existing scoreboard systems in the arena and show time and scores in real time?

There's some precedence for this. Philips Arena in Atlanta has the scoreboard of The Omni (the arena it replaced) hanging in the main entrance. If I wasn't on the Commuter Rail's anemic wifi I'd link to a photo.

There's a good photo here (it's someone's blog so I'm not embedding).

And if the plan still includes tiling the entrance arcade to outline the old Garden floor plan, then hanging the scoreboard there would be perfect, even if it would be off-center from the original.

I was doodling the other day, and this one reminds me of the Hub on Causeway, in a good way:

Looks like they're making about a floor/ week. Can't wait to get in on the fun taking pictures--on account i finally got around to buying a decent camera (just in time for the smoke from the Carr/Ranch Fire to take a shit on the entire Western United States. The Grand Tetons over Jenny lake was a wash. Canon SX720 didn't come out of the bag).
