The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

If you're thinking of the short approx 3 story building, it did have a 2 story McDonalds. I think it's been vacant since that closed.

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Is that a hint they'll want a tax break?
Of course they want a tax break. There shareholders would completely skewer them if they didn't at least try for it. That doesn't mean they'll get one, or that they won't take a lease without one. But at a minimum, they have to at least put a bit of lip service behind it.

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I always thought that building had some electric infrastructure in it? Does it? I could just be thinking that because it looks like it does. If not, it is positioned pretty good for like a tight 15-20 story hotel/apt building.

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Sooner better than later. I've been waiting for something like this to be build since they tore down the Garden.

Used to be a porn theater back in the 60's and 70's

Wouldn't it be cool if that entire entry way was full of bars and night clubs?

For some reason this post just keeps making me think of there being some of this:

That's a dude on the right.

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Whatever they end up building, I just hope they do something about the horrid, gigantic, randomly dropped spherical bollards in front of the federal building.

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I am always leery when night renderings are the only ones released. That's often the way to hide the cheapness of the materials the developers intend to use.

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

I'm not sure if it was related to this development or the Garden repairing/inspecting, but there were 2 workers on crawler boom lifts on the wall of the TD Garden when I passed by today ~11am

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

The podiums are supposed to break ground this year. Anyone have any inside info on when we can expect this to start?

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

9/8/15 +/- 7 days

Inside info. Was originally 8/1 then pushed to 9/1 now pushed to 9/8.

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Woohoo! Podium and Office component?

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

@palindrome thank you that is great news. I really like the towers here but the ground level is the make or break portion of this project. This is going to change the garden from a secluded box to a sporting oasis.

I just hope that there's enough money to help the T put an awning along the walk from the North Station Orange / Green Line to the Gahdin -- so we can go see the Bruuuns without getting wet like da old days

I may be wrong but according to their plans on the BRA website, you should be able to walk from the Orange/Green Line to right under the new proposed entry way, take the stairs/escalator up, and enter the Garden from the new entry way, eliminating the need to go outside between the orange/green line and the Garden.

Re: The Boston Garden (TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Isn't the developer supposed to be paying for a brand-new North Station as part of the project?
