I've never been a future tenant of a u/c condo, but I imagine it must be weird to gaze at one and think "soon I'll be living in the bit of sky surrounded by that cage of damp steel".

I wouldn't call that area 'Roxbury Crossing', though.

It would have been fine before the South End effectively dropped their association with Roxbury.

The final design better break up the facade into 5-7 vertical elements or the entire building will be too squat, too landscraper-ish. I know that was the original plan but I haven't seen an updated rendering in a while.

looks like they are starting to sell too! banners are up and there is a website, www.691residences.com
how do you think the market will react? this is kinda one of the few new condo building in Boston entering the market during the recession.

I'm not crazy about it looking so flat, but then again, it sure beats an empty lot. I just hope they cover it with something decent.

i think with the terracotta, it won't look as flat but textured
