The rendering shows that the pattern stops where its at now and for the next 4 floors up to the top of the crown it is just straight lines. This kind of gives an illusion of the crown being taller than it actually is.

Ha, I like that blurry shot. It almost looks like one of those cutesy tilt shift images that make everything look like toys.

What a disappointment of a building. Cheaping out on materials strikes again!

today dam iPhone
It's not that long ago that I can remember bragging to people that I'd bought a 4 megapixel "digicam". The rule of thumb then was that you spent $100 per megapixel! And I'm only going back about 10 years.

I actually think this one is (currently) looking great. If the totally unclad wing isn't a complete dud, I think this is, in fact, going to end up a solid 7/10.

Not enough blocking with this last pic!

Real nice update, DZ, thanks! I am loving this building, a cool neighbor to the all glass W, and also to everyone's favorite Kensington, but even more, such a great contrast it's squat, brick neighbors.

If nothing else it fills a significant skyline gap from a few places.

Am I the only one who thinks those materials look really cheap? I feel like the design would be pretty good if the materials they used were of a better quality.

Ooooo this building would be some much more kickass if they left the top crenelated like that!
