AvalonBay Tower (Jacob Wirth's) | 45 Stuart Street | Downtown

The front I like...the back is horrible even looks horrible from the common.

I really don't like the scale of the canopy. it just makes me feel unsettled. It's the same thing with the W hotel.

The canopy is also doing some funky street wall juggling. The buildings to the west sit tighter on the street than the buildings to the east (Jacob Wirth...).

That smoky gray glazing looks as if it has ten years of grime on it already.

Goes with the neighborhood I guess, looking at the fensters next door which haven't been washed in twenty.

Such positivity in the air at archboston this morning!

AVA got some great advertising last night:

The color-changing LEDs are cool! Provided a nice backdrop for the chaos.

As briv here says, "as designers, we make a good theater, we dont direct the play"

^ BeeLine -- great shots as always. I really love the shot up Stuart of the signs -- brilliant!

This thing turned out ugly...Kensington is looking better by the day.

I was actually in the Kensington the other weekend at a friend's place, we could see one single unit AVA occupied, also with some guests over. They looked at us and turned their blinds down. Funny, given the above comment.
