Yesterday from the the 20th floor of the Federal reserve building

Great illustration as to how the USPO and Gillette are such obstacles to Boston turning that channel into something truly special. What a lost opportunity if they remain squatting there.

We should be glad that Gillette is still here providing manufacturing jobs and doing so while being close to downtown. They should really sell off their parking lots, though, and just have whatever the developer builds on them replace the spots in a garage.

Not here.... how about next to the Gas tanks at Suffolk Downs!

better.... Downtown Worcester or Auburn.

+1.

Amen. I don't understand Boston Urbex's point about Boston being so desperate to have Gillette squatting on what can and should be a world-class iconic location. I understand from some engineering types that Gillette needs to be by water in order to engineer some of heir razors. Go up the Mystic, Charles, Chelsea Creek, etc. for that. There are plenty of other places nearby. Fort Point Channel doesn't need heavy industry to crowd out its potential.

The JHT is the greatest glass thing with floors escalators and toilets and that exists on Earth or ever existed.

i don't care someone shows me something they suggest is better.

it ain't. call me crazy. call me a homer. guilty as charged.

ain't nobody changin' my mind.

i sometimes ponder if the Hancock is the greatest thing on Earth.

It's like a doorway into another dimension, kind of like the obelisk from 2001:
