The Episcopal Divinity School still exists as an independent school, with its own dean, board and administration completely separate from Lesley. It has however entered into a partnership with Lesley whereby it has sold (i believe) the majority of its campus to Lesley with a renewable site lease agreement in place. The two now share the majority of the facilities, administered by Lesley, but the Episcopal Divinity School still exists as its own entity. This agreement was necessary after the Weston Jesuit School of Theology moved to Boston College.

Google Maps doesn't show municipal borders but it looks to me that the Showa school is in Brookline.

Given that their official street address is 420 Pond St, Boston, MA 02130, I don't understand why you would say this.

^ Because zip codes / mailing addresses don't always align perfectly with municipal boundaries.

They tend to, in Massachusetts (which is way more organized about this kind of thing than some other states) but I wouldn't be surprised if some zip codes bled over town lines even here.

BU plans to eventually demolish the HoJo, Kenmore building, and the parking lot, but haven't provided any other information or a time line. It is expected more information will be revealed when they seek approval for their next master plan in 2012.

The Hojo is in excellent condition. I cant see them replacing it before the old west campus prisons get rehabbed.

West Campus interiors were rehabbed last summer.

Pointless to knock down HoJo's after they converted it into an official dorm only a few years ago. Why replace when they've got worse dorm buildings they could be getting rid of first?

I remember playing 1:00am wiffleball in that parking lot when I was an undergrad 10 years ago. Part of me's going to miss that block of paved after-hours open space.

If the HoJo stands too long, some academic moron is going to declare it a critical example of "modern" design and demand it be preserved warts and all.

^^ Look at a map. Deerfield St. intersects Bay State Rd. at nearly a 45 degree angle.

Now, if BU could build something on that vacant site in Kenmore Square behind this project, it would "complete" Kenmore Square. Also, that project could replace that one story lecture hall building.

^At the most recent BRA meeting where the East Campus Center and the 2 year extension of the current master plan were approved, it was briefly mentioned that more details would be released about the future of the Kenmore lot (including HoJo and the Kenmore Classroom building) when the next campus master plan is released (Summer 2012).
