Maybe I'm missing something but the tiny-pane windows are really terrible. It's like a warehouse/jail mashed up with the W Hotel.

I've expressed my love for them (and awe that they survived VE) at various stages of the project. You're not alone. =)

I'm skeptical about the facade. I'm not sure how that material is going to hold up. I've seen that corrugated metal look very dingy very quickly. Guess it depends on the quality.

They make the building. I was skeptical at first, but the whole industrial-chic thing works surprisingly well.

The windows remind me a lot of the building down the street from it. You can see it pretty well in KZ's last pic. (nice picture updates across the board btw) I always liked that building. Wasn't it a rehab?

If you mean the tower records/best buy building, yeah. Gehry was responsible for the renovation.

This building is kind of interesting up close, but I think it looks terrible at a distance.

It doesn't look awesome from a distance as a stand-alone nubbin, but once that Mass Ave/Boylston intersection gets the development that's expected, this will be one of several mid-rise towers around there.

From today. Looks like the facade is done apart from the glass yet to go up on the sharp corner.



Finishes a little boring but I can't think of a better way to pull it off
