Also, I think a lot of the initial reasoning behind restraining Wynn from expanding into other business areas was around the idea that area venues would be undermined because all that casino revenue would subsidize those other lines of business. Wasn't really the traffic concern.
But I don't see any way around it. The state and municipalities want to see that casino money reinvested in the local area and Wynn wants to see the local area become a destination with the casino at the center of it.
It will be good to see how all that land that Wynn is buying up gets redeveloped.
No, Boston doesn't. Agganis is more than 50% larger than 5,000 capacity at over 7,000. Exactly what year round venues does Boston have for entertainment in the 5,000 capacity range?
