Fan Pier Developments | Seaport

Thanks for the ground floor pics! Haven't seen a lot of those.

Ugh... I like comparing Boston to other places much more than the next average Bostonian, but can we keep that to the general forum or something??

I'm just sorry we don't have a Metuchen

Just think you can have a porn studio located in Metuchen -- Classic

Not sure what this means, but they have staked out the area around Louis. They also have soil drilling equipment on the harbor side of the site. Has anyone heard that Fallon is ready to start on the residence building @ 50 Liberty Dr.?

Much newer master plan from the fan pier website

However -- no mention of any new construction at 50 Liberty

You would think with the way 22 is selling, that they would be going as fast as possible for the next one. Financing should be a snap.

Well, by the looks of it they are supposed to build Waterside Avenue and add a pool next to Fan Pier park - so maybe that's what they have started on.

I would guess this is right, as I would imagine 10 Fan Pier or One harbor Shore Drive would be the next building built. I would guess 50 Liberty will be the last building, as they are collecting revenue from Sam's and Louis Boston in the temporary building.

Globe: Developer Joe Fallon follows his vision to reshape the waterfront

Today, three of seven towers are complete, standing over 200 feet tall, and three others are under construction.

One Marina Park Drive and the two Vertex buildings are complete, and Twenty Two Liberty and Goodwin Procter are under construction; what's the third under construction? Also, doesn't the Fan Pier Master Plan include 8 "towers"? Maybe One Harbor Side Drive doesn't count?

I was at a meeting last week in the Manulife/John Hancock building. That area also is really nicely lit at night. Perhaps this will be a signature feature of the Seaport.

I think if the lighting highlighted architectural features, it could be interesting. In this one photo it looks a little "Vegas on a very small budget."

That looks tacky. They should come up with a cohesive color scheme

I think a a lot of that feeling comes from the Christmas color scheme of the far right building. I went thru there the other night and don't recall seeing that building lit up in the Christmas colors but do recall the area looking pretty cool. I'm sure there's a color or color scheme for that building outside of the holidays that's more appropriate.

The lights on 1 MPD are blue normally, but before the "Holiday" lights replaced it there was some dancing lights on the top of the building that actually looked kind of cool. As far as the purple on Vertex, they are slacking because some of the bulbs on the light strips have gone out looking tacky.

I've noticed the lights on the Vertex buildings change colors - I'll be interested to see what they do with Seaport Square once it's built out

They've closed the Harbor Walk through the Fan Pier development in order to build their new waterfront park. Really hoping they don't skimp on it.

Also: further landscaping on far side of ICA, coming right up to the property line with Pier 4.
