Millennium (Hayward) Place | 580 Washington Street | Downtown

Re: Hayward Place

The Roman Numerals aren't a reference to the year.

Millenium Crossing district (MCX or 1510 to hipsters)

Re: Hayward Place

Stat -- there is a hierarchy to Roman numbers

I before a V or X as in 4= IV, 9 = IX

X before an L or C as in 40 = XL, 90 = XC

C before a D or M as in 400 = CD, 900 = CM

otherwise the Precedence is M left of the D, D to C, C to L, L to X, X to V, V to I

thus 1510 = MDX

to spell Millenium development district or MDD
unfortunately that translates to nothing as DD=M

Millenium Crossing = MC or in keeping with DTX == MX

and thus for the cognescenti the number in arabic is either 1100 or 1010

Never mind. The moment is lost.

A bunch of people missing the point of what was meant as a throwaway comment I'm afraid. Viva the 1110!

Re: Millennium Place III | Hayward Place

They need to just make sure they don't open this building a year too early like Newman on Seinfeld.

Just stick with the 1510. It's not like hipsters know their Roman Numerals.

...and once someone does figure out the mistake, it will become ironic and instantly earn twice the hipster cred!

What the Hell happened to this thread?

Re: Millennium Place III | Hayward Place

hi-jacked like a 1970's commercial airliner

next stop Havana, Cuba!

Cuba Si -- Yanqui Si asi

As Fidel just said while promoting his new book -- Cubano muchacho -- with appologies for the Spanish -- "I finaly realized that Socialism can't solve all the problems'

Or as Maggie said -- with appologies to Merril Streep for the accent - "The only problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money"

Hijacking the hijack? Well done.

Jokes drag on way too long here. I learned my lesson with the Liberty Mutual debacle.

Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. There are numerous threads that have become a complete disaster.

Re: Millennium Place III | Hayward Place

So, uh... *attempt to bring on topic* What do you guys think will go in here for retail? I believe there's 3 (with possibility of breaking one into two spaces, ie: possibly 4) retail spaces. One of which they were hoping would work as a restaurant, I believe. Anyone know if anyone has signed on to be a tenant at all? They're going to be larger retail spaces than most of the currently vacant ones, I think, so potential for something different.
