"At the end of 2016, Roche Bros. expects to add another 10,000 square feet of space in an adjacent building"

So does the Roche Bros. space eventually extend into the Tower?

That struck me too. It's odd how they don't actually say Millennium Tower.

Yes

This is shown on the MTBretail website and explicitly stated in this herald article

When building owner Millennium Partners finishes the new adjacent Millennium Tower next year, Roche Bros. will add another 10,000 square feet of space in the condo tower’s basement and apply to the city for a license to sell beer and wine there, McGillivray said.

I wonder if they haven't finalized the agreement yet and that's why they're being coy; although Mongo's sources does specifically say the tower's basement. Probably just being vague for the sake of it.

It looks like this has been a planned expansion into the MT basement for awhile. Here is an image from their site.

Saw the tip of the crane popping-up over the Financial District while I was walking along Congress or Seaport Blvd near to the Courthouse on my Friday PM Free-T-about

Additionally, I drove 93N into the city this morning, which I hadn't done in a while, and the lower floors were already well visible. What a difference this tower is going to make from all angles.

Not sure this has been officially mentioned on the thread but the Roche bros will have T concourse entrances.

I'm over the moon about this. While I'd love to see the whole Winter and Summer Street concourse redeveloped and operated by a real estate developer that knows what it's doing (after today's Japan Festival, I'm craving platform-side ramen stalls to grab something quick to eat on the nights I know my boyfriend won't be cooking for me), it'll be a magical convenience to just pop into the Roche Bros on street level, take the escalator down, and stroll out with some groceries already on the same level as the concourse.
