Will you two just get a room already? :D

BTW, that was a great shot AoM.

That could be a mini Venice or even a wanna-be San Antonio. It's not even Lechmere channel for Christ's sake! Absolutely no imagination.

To be fair, the north side of that canal is a power plant, which has been there for many decades. The power plant used to receive shipments by barge, which is probably why the canal was built in the first place. The First Street and Land Blvd. bridges over the canal used to be operable drawbridges.

True but one day they are going to decommission that plant and then it cold be Cambridge's Tate Modern (albeit no where near as iconic.)

It's about vision. As in there is none, which is the problem.

The city did recently add a walkway along the power plant side of the canal -- something I don't see in the photo. How old is the picture?

I finally walked by there my last trip to Boston, I had never seen the addition in person. It's really nice!

Both date to August 21, 2008...and here's another shot of something that no longer exists:

Hahaha Ron this isn't the guess-the-location thread. But yes, you're correct.

And thanks Van!

Where are those? The second kind of looks like the Harvard Museum of Natural History, but I can't really tell.
