And based on the amount of people in the picture, who gives a damn if hes on the sidewalk?

Trust me, there were manyyy people around, especially in the park. This shot I took was after waiting for a few people to clear out.

Excellent!

I like how there's greenish lights on the left of the image (Celtics) and orangey-goldish lights around the Garden (Bruins) and red lights around the bridge (Red Sox). :D Although, only the Celtics and Bruins lights are reflecting in the water, thus they'll win it all, unfortunately the Sox won't. /theory

^^There's a faint red glow between the thin Blue Patriots/Green Celtics and the Yellow Bruins just off the center on the right.

^ That's freaky. It's like one of those old-school long exposure photos where all the people are missing, but... it's not...

This part of Mass Ave often does have that desolate feel. The gigantic colonnade doesn't help.

Considering that there is no car traffic either, was this taken at 5 am?

Nope, it was 8:48 am.

What's going on is that 1) it was Memorial Day 2007, so most everyone had the day off, and 2) considering it was late May, Berklee (and all schools) were out of session by then.

Still, you'd think for a Monday at 9 am that there'd be at least a few souls out and about.

It's also worth noting that I'm standing directly next to where Berklee's proposed tower will be going up. This area will feel very different in 5-10 years.

Reminds me of my recent red line picture. Rush hour on the red line, and the car was completely empty, but me.
