I held onto it because I knew one day I'd want to read it again, and I guess tonight's the night. Now I've gotten a refresher course
on all the buzzwords of 2004: insurgency, blogs, Karl Rove, Passion of the Christ, Fahrenheit 9/11, Abu Ghraib, wardrobe malfunction,
low carb, iPod, Barry Bonds. Not a great year if you ask me.

Red Sox first World Series since 1918? I'll take 2004 with all its warts.
 
Duh...how could I have forgotten? (actually I was still living in NY that year) But now that you guys bring it up I realize the magazine didn't mention either of those once.
 
It looks like the WaMu Center from Seattle (minus the pyramid shaped top) was photoshopped in to complete the illusion. Pretty cool though. Thanks for sharing.
