Demolition of Anthony's Pier 4 and construction of the condo building is scheduled to begin this month. The sales gallery and sale of units is scheduled to commence in the early fall, with an estimated completion date of Fall of 2018.

Does this mean the office building comes later or is it all going to be done in one phase?

Two interesting pieces of info.

The Commercial bldg is labelled Phase 2 and the Condo Bldg is labelled Phase 3.

In the upper left cornor is information about the reconfiguration of Northern Ave. which indicates it will be completed by this spring.

Also booms have been deployed, around the Anthony bldg. portion of the pier.

shingles stripped...though not sure why this was done separately from a full-up demolition

Article in todays online Globe indicate the demolition of Anthony's will occur as soon as this week.
Some nice historical photos are included with the article.

They included a photo of the torn up interior, and funny enough, it looks exactly the same with the bar remnant and the space... Still easy to see the restaurant layout in the nostalgic mind's eye...

They've got a site specific website up on this. Looks to be a couple new (or previously unseen renders). What a fantastic location this will be.

I'm all for truth in advertising but seeing the cars in those renderings just depresses me.

I'm not sure if this is what you're getting at, John, but it does feel like Seaport Boulevard will need a major redo to knit the area together. As it is, Fan Pier looks like an island out on its own, and Pier 4 looks kind of lonely.

Well, it's not really Seaport Boulevard, it's the fact that One Seaport, Goodwin Procter, and Parcels G and H aren't in these pictures. They purposely went with a less-developed background to highlight their project.

I'd love it if the BRA would require that all architectural renderings in officially-filed documents (including high-res glamour shots) must include all approved buildings.

There was a rendering that showed a car right up against the Harborwalk, so that was the one I most-focused on.

Data -- I'd be worrried if the cars were driving on the "Sea Steps" and on out into the harbor
