According to the Globe article:

I don't actually think this project is part of Waterfront Square. If I'm not mistaken, this project is slated for the empty plot of land just south of the Point-of-Pines, where the ill-fated "Ocean Club" project was to have been built before the 2008 mortgage bubble burst.

Correct. I've adjusted my post. Thank you.

Is that the same parcel where the almost comically derelict/dilapidated Fiesta Club (picture below, sorry it's so small) sat festering (in decidedly un-Yo Soy Fiesta-condition) for so many years?

It was rather conspicuously razed a few months back--a precursor to this project?

Eww… Big dark wall with tiny windows is not the best design idea.

Is the landlord not legally obligated to put them up in a hotel or something??

Took me a minute to figure out where this was since they didn't include a compass. I like that they're simplifying that offramp and making the park more friendly. Surprised I'm not seeing a giant berm, although I suppose that whole neighborhood is already a goner if "the big one" ever comes.

The towers might be coming down!

Whatever happened with this? Does it affect all the towers or just one? Are they still standing? I haven't been by in a while and, while they dominate their immediate area, they aren't particularly visible from most of my lookout points.

I found articles from 2022 related to one (or more) being condemned, but nothing since then.
