Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

AFAIK, nothing has ever been formally proposed or suggested. There was one rendering years ago with a speculative building that had a slot/arch diagonally through it for Northern Avenue, but since the road was rebuilt at right angles that's obviously unlikely.
I believe the slot/arch was actually for the 115KVa line that runs down the old Northen Ave route, so it likely has to stay, which is good because it created a pretty cool design.

That would be nice, but I'm surprised they didn't move that when they moved the road...

Buried high-tension power lines can't be built over and are very, very non-trivial to move. The Ball Square GLX station (before the project got rebooted) had to be redesigned to accommodate a line that crosses under the tracks in that location.

Not to keep beating my drum, but could the submerged high-tension lines be the reason the 'G 150 Seaport' lot hasn't been developed? The old Northern Ave alignment effectively carves 'G' into two small parcels.

BCDC update for the full Seaport Square project:

The focus here is technically on 350 Summer, but I don't think there's much new there relative to the renders in the NPC. Lots more attention paid to SeaPAC this time...

HOLY CRAP... I'm floored by how emotionally overwhelmed I feel by the proposal for 350 Summer St (Parcel N) after being delightfully surprised by the earlier render for 400 Summer (Parcel P). It's BEAUTIFUL and finally feels like a contextually appropriate design for something going up next to the older Fort Point buildings. It feels like Chicago/New York quality design, fit, and finish has finally landed in Boston. There's a wonderful balance of masonry, steel, and glass that really does feel like a nod to the past and absolutely antithetical to the value engineered glass boxes with some precast concrete panels and random flashes of colorful aluminum panels. AMAZING.

Yes, it's stunning that we are finally getting some NYC /Chi quality product. I can't imagine how much it costs.. $900 PSF ? Tip of the cap to WS

I think the highlight of the whole presentation is the Summer Street Steps
Never to be confused with the Spanish Steps in Rome -- but I think so far as we've seen either a render or a real implementation that the following are Major Seaport Winners [newly constructed or reconstructed]: -- could we even say Icons
  1. Pier 4 Harbor Walk
  2. Fallen Heroes Memorial
  3. Summer St. Steps

Seconded!!

From yesterday. Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but thought it was interesting to see detailed renders on display including a full buildout of Seaport Square and 88 Seaport Blvd. Parcel A2 is still missing though and they left parcel E (MassMutual) as a construction pit. Crane in the reflection is for parcel L4 (Amazon), I believe.
