Honestly, not that bad looking.. Could be a sleek Zaha Hadid piece.. Though it reads horizontally more as an arena than a science center

They're back at work on this one! Pleasant surprise!
Jdrinboston -- Not so much of a surprise -- deep pockets all around:

the General Contractor -- John Moriarty & Associates, Inc. [Boston, DC & Florida projects] with AECOM Tishman [built more than 600 million square feet including the new One World Trade in NYC]
the Developer --HYM Investment Group backed by a joint venture between Carr Properties and National Real Estate Advisors
the principal Tenant -- State Street

and a lot of deep connections at different levels of political, financial and other

that's the current recipe for going forward

Then you throw-in the Amenities:
On-site Retail, Landscaped Terrace, Parking Garage, Activated Rooftop, Fitness Center, Conference Center, Electric Car Charging; Secure Bike Room
+ 1 stop from Blue Line to Logan
+ 1 Stop from Green Line & North Station [walking distance in the good season to both N and S Station]
+ 2 stops from Red Line

Interest rates are at record lows and the feds pumping money into bonds. That'll keep projects like this going.

Looks like the shorter res got a cladding upgrade too making it more similar to its bigger sibling. 👍.

The only negative is how hidden 1 sudbury will be, after seeing how well it turned out.

^^^Awesome! I am super excited about this one!

Here is a new render I don't remember seeing posted here. It it head and shoulders above The Sudbury. It also looks like the 2nd residential got taller and is now pushing 380'+.

DZH --- that render makes it clear that the next tear-down of the Brutal Era regime is the JFK low-rise
That site could be part park and part glass tower down toward the Congress & Hanover end of the plot -- I'd call it Zero Hanover -- gateway to the North End

Although the US economy is facing some uncertainty, I think the Boston market is strong and there is a dearth of new, high rise, managed residential buildings. These buildings are still unicorns.

6.30.20 - Cranes

About 20 minutes prior to you capturing that image, I was cycling through that intersection and stopped at the light. They lifted the crane cab right over all of us ... one of the few times folks haven't been in a mad dash to speed through that mess: everyone was looking straight up! Really awesome show.

Any idea what’s going on with those vertical beams? I’ve never seen any looking like this. Are those all bolts sticking out the entire length?
