Hardly anybody has been in Bowdoin, as it is a nearly pointless station. The only reason I've ever been in it is curiosity. I wanted to see how they handled six car trains on a four car platform, so I walked the extra 20 yards from government center and entered the system there instead of at GC.

go to Ft. Lauderdale/Miami. in the evening HUUUUGE freight trains come through the city. you will be stuck at a redlight for a good 10-15 minutes.

I was at the fresno amtrak station a few weeks ago, and a 100+ car freight train rolled by at 5mph.

I was thinking about the poor people waiting to it to pass looking at their watch because the amtrak train was due and they were on the other side.

It was a truck train....100+ TRUCKS!

That's nothing. I remember watching a youtube video of a train going through the streets of a residential neighborhood.

I need / want to get more photos of the T. Is there still some inane permitting process required?

You're free to take pictures as you like. Just present an ID upon request.

I have no idea where the link is, but you can print out a copy of the T's photographers' rights. If anyone hassles you, show it to them. They can't do anything but ask for identification. If they have a problem, then can call whoever they want, I wouldn't stop taking pictures for anyone who's just looking to bitch.

What is that, from the stairs at Aquarium? I was all confused at first, I thought you stole the CCTV cameras or something.
