LOL ;) Unfortunately there was a turnstile collecting fares though. It still ran on tokens, and there wasn't a CSA in sight to purchase from.
 
Anyone seen the 3 car GL sets?

I saw one at Park Street the other day. I did a double take because the last card went all the way back to where the first car of C line trains start. I then remembered they had started testing them.
 
It's a very Kahn-esque station. Unfortunately it fails to provide adequate shelter from the frigid winds half the year. It seems to be a trend in MBTA station and shelter design to ignore the climate half the year.
 
Your Kahn observation is spot on, Lurker. Suffolk Downs is similarly austere, like a modern ruin.

I've asked the T to consider covering the tracks in their replacement for Orient Heights. In short, not happening. I don't get it -- the track at Ashmont are covered by a shed roof.
