Nice photo! But, can't help but notice how the view is now shot in both directions. These two landscrapers block Custom House coming into the city and the bridge when looking out. Its a city, nothing inherently wrong with that. But, these buildings could have used a little more "welcome to Boston" flair.

Hopefully in a few years you'll feel differently when the Hub on Causeway buildings are up. Frankly, the view now is pretty cool with the Garden on the right and the beautiful Lovejoy wharf complex on the left. It's a view that, for the next few years, will be continually changing.

Also, the streetwalls being formed by Merano and Victor produce a great framed view of the bridge. The "spine" of the Zakim looks really cool when you're in the city looking outbound on Beverly St. - it's an effect that wasn't there previously.

When they started digging last winter, i wondered how long before it would be up with cladding. Might not be too long.....Gonna be so amazing after this one, and the 2 hotels (15 story/90 rm 104 Canal + the yet-to-be approved 13 story/72 rm Valenti Sq) go up.

The Bobby Orr Leap Into History statue in the bottom right foreground there is just the most delightful little piece of historical resonance--Something Old juxtaposed against Something New. Evocations of the Big Bad Bruins of the 1970s, with Causeway St. in all of its shabby filthy Central Artery/Dirty Old Boston/pre-gentrification glory... does the Bobby statue bless the surge of swank new luxury residences? Perhaps.

Very nice vantage with those trees... makes it look much leafier than it feels when you're actually there, but the Merano building does make Causeway feel less exposed and it would, even more so, if they threw in some trees on the other side of the street.

This is affordable workplace housing while also including a hotel.

Just a dumb question, will these new apartments have cheap finishes (like laminate countertops) because they are affordable or are they made like all other new developments.
