Tree House Residence Hall Tower @ MassArt | 578 Huntington Avenue | Fenway

Indeed! And CTBUH would do well to add some of Kz's latest photo's of our beautiful girl to the single one they show of her on their website. Nice find, Downburst! I'm usually all about glass but the winner and other runner-up do nothing for me, unlike our MassArt beauty!

Also ...BSA's Peoples Choice awards are up and Mass Art is going toe to toe with Macallen.

Ps. Isabella Stewart Gardener is in a distant 4th place. (pssst ...that is what I voted for)

Good lord, every single time I see new pics of this building, the more I lovei it. This last batch shed a whole new way of looking at it for me...I never realized the real "lego" style the building has when looked at from the base.

So, so cool

I've said this before, but this building is an incredible example of a building being completely "designed" inside and out - from the landscaping, to the facade, to the canopy (I still can't get over the canopy continuing the facade's language), to the floor, to the ceiling, to the walls... everything has the architect's touch to it. It's a grand slam for ADD Inc and definitely is one of the best tall buildings built in this decade. This building deserves every award you can throw at it.

I dont want to be a jerk about this ... but I want to make this point one more time. The exterior cladding of this building is 100% composite aluminum panel. (otherwise knows around here as Alucobond).

The only point I am trying to make is ... do not hate the material, hate how it is used and what care is given to its execution. Even brick can look careless and silly in the hands of a thoughtless designer/builder

^ Neat.

I wish they'd reglaze the Darth Vader building though .

I always find that, from a distance, the view down Huntington is mad more interesting having the "Vader" there. you've got the blue and white and dark orange of West Village, the bright orange and green on the Tree House, and the black of the MassArt dorm tower, which makes for a really good variety.

Yea, where is that taken from?

Somewhere on Mission Hill. I was just wandering around, but there are some neat views. Hadn't been up there since doing a walk of shame about 5 years ago.....

Can't. stop. staring!
