Throughout the CAC this has repeatedly been referred to as the tech tower and their president called it that yesterday several times.

The pix are great --especially the shot of the beam from directly below -- do you also do shots of volcanos from inside the crater?

By the way the site appears to be substantially bigger than I imagined it to be
 
Will the new performance space displace any activity from the existing Performance Center theatre? Or does it have a different purpose entirely?
 
Just this week they finished filling in this ditch along the side of the current performance center by the Boylston/Cambria/St Cecilia triangle. It's now pavement at sidewalk grade all the way to the edge of the building, and looks like the fence is coming down. I can't really fathom the purpose for this unless the site is being prepped for something? They've been working on filling that ditch for about 3-5 weeks now.

I know just in front of that (closer towards Mass Ave int.) there is a fenced in performance space. It dosen't get used much, maybe they are getting rid of all of it, or maybe increasing its size.
As far as the new performance space, I'm guessing it will be used for performances when they tear down BPC and build the new one. Once the new BPC is built, I'm guessing it will mainly be used by students for shows.

It's going to be a "bike pen" according to one the facilities guys at Berklee.
 
Bike pen is already there, but was locked when I walked by it during First Night.

Here's another "loft-style" pile of champagne colored metal poop panels. Rawn may design fantastic interiors----a more suspect statement I've never written??---------but this exterior is a travesty for a building that is the most westward anchor of the High Spine. I can't believe the BRA approved this. This is the most disjointed building built since the Copley Place Commie block.

EDIT: Took out the swears. I forgot I'm trying not to curse on the internet anymore, damnit.

How lovely there is building again. How very sad the standards are so mediocre.
 
I don't get it. I count 18 floors, and it looks more than passable considering it's a dorm.
