I own State Street Stock, should I sell now??

I wouldn't, at least not right away. They just had another fantastic quarter. I was commenting more on the work environment itself though. They're good at what they do but it's not regarded as a great place to work or one that provides many opportunities for advancement in the business.

I worked there for 1.5 years in the early 90's. I quit to scoop ice cream roughly 60 hours a week. I cleared the same after dry cleaning and commuting expenses. Slave Street.

Haha I too worked at SS for nearly 3 years before moving down here. I don't think it was that bad, but it's definitely easy to get lost in the system. If you don't force your way up, you'll stay in the same place forever.

I've heard good things about SSgA though, which is the asset management arm of the company. It has the second or third most assets under management in the world. The shitty part is the custodial side (which I was part of). And yes, the pay is absolute shit in that area.

Absolutely in love with this. ADD Inc is killing it in Boston right now making neighborhoods around the city a lot more vibrant by daring to use color!

I agree with DD 100% on the use of color and I hope that ADD has more design opportunities in the area soon.

No one ever confirmed if these panels were the final design or simply test panels for weathering tests, as the panel color schemes vary significantly from the rendered design.

I was fully expecting to hate this...but I don't. This looks really nice even if it is a bit kooky. I think the State Street emblem going up the side looks really cool.

Not sure which design for the garage panels I like more. Original render blends in but is also pretty bland, while on-site panels might be a little too much. Maybe they're doing each face of the garage differently? That would be alright.

State Street Global Advisors (SSgA) has the investment bankers, and they are located at 1 Lincoln.

Oh my god, you're right. For some reason, I saw and typed "Investment Banker" but was thinking "Portfolio Manager".

I think it's great that even the parking garage looks pretty great. Never thought I would ever say that.

Commute == I don't think there are many if any of the above in the Southy / Channel Center

The High-end types are in the HQ building aka the State Street Financial Center @ 1 Lincoln St.

Also noticed that the cables on the side of the garage here are all at different angles, which could mean that they're trying for a textured facade.
