Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

^ It was quite a shocking site in-bound on the Pike on Christmas Eve, visible out past the Allston Tolls.

Crane was bright blue tonight. It really stands out. I have never seen a crane begging for attention like this one.

The site itself is already awe inspiring, and they're only working on the 1st floor.

EDIT: I forgot I took another crappy cell phone pic. I wonder if they'll keep up the crane lighting into next year.

Sorry for my spectacularly horrible cellphone photo.

And another one while driving, oops. Bad driver.

Somebody...better forward the lit up crane pix to Steve Wynn and Co -- they are missing a truly "its Vegas Baby" opportunity

The only thing I'd like to forward to Mr. Wynn is an eviction notice.

Yeah, let's have contaminated land instead of a destination resort that will employ hundreds if not thousands of people. No one else was touching that land. Sorry but I'll take the land cleanup, hundreds of new, permanent jobs and a place for adults to have some fun over the polluted land.

update per 1daltonconstruction

During the these past two months, the concrete for floors B3-B1 was completed. A secondary crane was also installed to help move materials on the site. The ground floor concrete will also be nearly completed during this time.

Some of the highlights for the next 3 months are:

- Finish pouring the concrete slab for the ground floor
- Install preliminary drains, piping and waterproofing at ground level for future landscaping and utility work
- Frame and prepare for concrete slab pour for ground floor shear walls, 2nd floor slab and shear walls and 3rd floor slab and shear walls
- Install the climber for concrete pours

Behind the scenes the project team continues to coordinate the work required to continue the rise of One Dalton into the Skyline.

They are both cast-in-place concrete towers.

Then if the construction is reasonably similar in scope we should see the equivalent of this
[9/17/2015]
Channel 7 news just had a quick mention and live shots from their helicopter about the topping out.

and this stage -- essentially finished on the outside -- 4/21/2016
Here's a view of the tower from my Dorm room:

The next year and half will provide lots of construction stuff on 1 Dalton so for the best of our photogs -- get your gear ready to go

Do I read the update to say that we shouldn't expect to see more than 3 floors within the next 3 months?

From 6-19-2014 to 9-19-2014 Millennium rose about 3 floors up the podium from ground level.

The first few floors are the slowest and the three months from late-December are the worst of the year weather-wise. Once winter is past, the podium is complete, and everything is fully up-and-running I'd expect this to really take off.

Multiple concrete trucks lined up on Dalton street, is there a large pour scheduled for today, or is this just what is common place with how much concrete is going to be used for this building?

This is a cast-in-place concrete tower so this will be the norm. Millennium Tower had a parade of concrete trucks lined up down Franklin during its construction nearly every day.

That's kinda what I figured... On a side note, its a great example why we need some form of buffer between bike lanes and traffic lanes because the trucks have completely taken it over. But I will try to save that derailment for the bike thread.
