I think those coverings used during construction are going to be essentially what the finish facade will be like. I actually like the effect it has when walking down washington street so far.
I'm not the biggest fan of this one or the Kensington, but even under construction, the sense of cohesiveness, completeness and density these projects bring to this part of Washington is very satisfying to experience. I'm looking forward to Filenes being completed and all of Washington St. downtown being whole again.
Some minor activity across the street. They seem to be redoing the entrance to the Hyatt:
And the building the post office is in (just across Harrison from this site) is also getting a new entrance and lobby. I think they recently put new windows (or did some other exterior work) to the whole building as well. Hopefully they can rent out their ground floor retail at the corner of Chauncy soon, too.
