Re: Millennium Tower - Filene's I wish the masonry on the Washington St side of the tower extended five stories higher to match the height of the Burnham building, or at least two stories higher to match the roofline of the Franklin St side's masonry - or is this rendering out of date?

Re: Filene's Interesting that the pedestal for the tower is no longer the height of the older building. Can't wait to see the other side, and how the tower interacts with the red facade that is also presumably still being preserved.

Sketchup model in Google Earth Gents, I wanted to get an idea of how a 600ft tower would look in the Filene's location, so I recreated the original rendering, and added the additional height. The building is exactly the same height at the Federal Reserve, not counting the mechanical floors...

One of the reasons why triple-deckers aren't built is that current residential zoning codes do not allow for 3-family density on the traditional triple-decker-sized lots.

Government regulation by a planning board with monopolistic powers doesn't work.

Or we could not have a board of central planning for development, to screw things up, in the first place.
