The Kensington | 665 Washington Street | Downtown

Re: Residences at Kensington I like the tiered effect that the flat topped buildings are creating, kind of like blown up versions of the smaller tier in front of them. If there were a few slightly taller ones in a third tier behind them, maybe some of them over the pike, then from this angle...

    Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

Re: Millennium Tower - Filene's I wish the masonry on the Washington St side of the tower extended five stories higher to match the height of the Burnham building, or at least two stories higher to match the roofline of the Franklin St side's masonry - or is this rendering out of date?

    Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

Re: Filene's Interesting that the pedestal for the tower is no longer the height of the older building. Can't wait to see the other side, and how the tower interacts with the red facade that is also presumably still being preserved.

    Millennium Tower (Filene's) | 426 Washington Street | Downtown

Sketchup model in Google Earth Gents, I wanted to get an idea of how a 600ft tower would look in the Filene's location, so I recreated the original rendering, and added the additional height. The building is exactly the same height at the Federal Reserve, not counting the mechanical floors...

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

One of the reasons why triple-deckers aren't built is that current residential zoning codes do not allow for 3-family density on the traditional triple-decker-sized lots.

Mayor, City Hall Still In Love With Tall Towers

Re: Bwahahahahahahahahaha..... "The city proposal envisions two sets of heights, one for less ambitious developers not ready for serious deal making and the other for builders who want some height and are ready to pay for it." This won't lead to corruption at all!

Shameless plug: I am running for city council in Boston.

All I can say about Mr. Bennett is that we could not be more different - intellectually and philosophically.

Shameless plug: I am running for city council in Boston.

Hi guys. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am running for Boston City Council, At-Large. As you can imagine, I am a very pro-development candidate. If you have any advice for me, or particular development issues that you want me to raise in my campaign, please let me know. My website...

Government regulation by a planning board with monopolistic powers doesn't work.

Or we could not have a board of central planning for development, to screw things up, in the first place.
