Avalon North Station | Nashua Street Residences | West End

Cabrini Green was literally projects if I'm not mistaken and a haven for criminals whereas this is still upscale living so I'm not sure the two have any similarities

Suffolk -- exactly so -- the real Boston comparison from the same era are the execrable Harbor Towers

No, I think this is the definition of good information. :)

Precisely. Each tower thread here probably has like 5 pages worth of arguing about 10' differences measured solely off how tall the tower looks next to other towers we don't actually know the true height of besides Emporis or Wiki, which are anything but accurate.

If anyone knows the true height of towers, it's the FAA.

Lol @ 02124's first pic. That's dedication my friend, snapping pics in the pouring rain yesterday

Last night on my way home I noticed some trucks leaving loads of Cladding at the site of the old junk yard site in Chelsea across the high school on Everett Ave.
The Cladding can be for any ongoing project, but the design resembles those already installed at this location.

Looks like glass might be going up ... can see it on the webcam

cell phone picture so cant say the color is that accurate from Logan

Glass!

The far northwest corner (the portion nearest the "runt building") has had glass applied! It looks ... glassy. Just a few panels so difficult to get a feel for it.

As of last night the steel had reached floors 23/24, and cladding is into the teens, depending on the side. They are trying to get as much protection from the elements as possible, it seems.

Thankfully at least some thought was put into the design by bringing the glass corner to ground level. It always looks much better when they do something to disguise the above ground garage instead of building a dubai podium that looks like a building built on top of a regular parking garage.

Earlier today, you can see some glass rising from the right bottom corner.

Also known as a Jakarta Podium. But there it is truly functional. Jakarta floods very badly, so all the new buildings sit at least two levels up with open parking shells below.

Lousy streetscape though!

I think it is fine in this location. It does make some sense.
