I think that they would connect to Beacon St, but the render cuts off weirdly where they pasted their models onto the background.

Also, this design is from 2015 - I think it will be revised at some point before it breaks ground (if it ever does).

Depends on what you mean by "not happening."

If you mean "not part of Phase 1" then that's correct.

If you mean "not happening ever" then that's probably correct, but not confirmed and just based on speculation.

We could see (3) towers in the 300~325' range built right here in the not too distant future.

Don't get your hopes up too high.
We went over this not too long ago: there is very little chance Phase 2 of Fenway Center is happening. There is very little space for staging, and his finances will probably never be strong enough to build over the Pike, seeing as it has taken years to get Phase 1 off the ground...

Despite that, let's hope for some architecturally-interesting buildings with Hotel Buckminster's plans, especially on the Citizen's Bank parcel.
 
So just these two buildings, shame they just don’t go taller with these two
 
Yeah, Given the low probabilty of phase 2 happening anytime soon, why not double the height in phase 1? Obviously an improvement over a parking lot. But also seems like a missed opportunity in the grand scheme of things.
 
^^especially considering the minimal shadow impact, from placing height on the south wall of the I-90 Freeway.
