^ Is this the back corner of the site? What's going to be happening here? New entryway, pocket park?

yes, back corner. i think they're just covering the wall in a similar fashion as the panels on one canal.

I still don't understand why they had to tear down the perfectly fine brick veneer that was already there.

^ Insulation from exterior wall for LEED cert? Maybe some sort of digital installation to activate this space?

I get that the original contractor on this job apparently wasn't qualified for task and that the current contractor probably had to spend quite a bit of time fixing the last guy's mistakes, but this project has to be setting records for slowest rehab/addition.

^ Also makes you wonder if they found any structural issues / added scope related to the condition of the building. Any insiders know if that's the case here, or was it really just GC issues?

After a nuclear winter, there will only be cockroaches and this building under construction.

I am a strong supporter of historic preservation but I think it would have been better, and definitely faster, if they had demolished this building and started from scratch with a new building on the site.

I would like this building a whole lot more if that garbage addition on top had never happened.
