The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

Yea no reason theyd wait for the towers to go up everything shows it goes in with the construction of the podiums.

Ok, so it is part of podium construction. Any chance it opens as the first thing completed? (if so, could that be mid 2018?)

Its a way to get to the connection inside the podium. Its also a way to get from Champions Row up the stairs and into the new garden grand entrance. Its the way to get from the garden/ns to and from the podium and back.

It is not just a connecting point. The plan calls for a 60,000 sq. ft. addition to the garden including larger concourses. They are also going to make the entire south wall (side with h on c) glass according to a Boston Globe article last month.

I'm talking about the actual gap in the structural profile.

Pink is the structural profile as currently constructed. The T headhouse (red) is designed to fill up this gap on the ground floor. It is not a public walkway. It will be filled in.

I was just walking out of the Garden after the game last night at this very spot on my way over to the T and noticed that there is a complete lack of structure in this spot right now.

Mhm you can see the glass on the south face of this (insert term that your comfortable with) in every render of champions row released yet for the last couple years.

Will there be any possible progress with the construction of the residential highrise soon?

Does anyone know what's in that area to the left of the Downeaster ticket window, all the way down to the escalator? I know there are some schedule racks there, and I think an "Information" booth, but that whole section will be coming out for the ground floor connection into the Hub, correct?

MBTA offices if I am not mistaken.

This whole area is being moved to where the now old box office is on the west side, which they started renovating last week as a result of them moving to the new temporary box office. Once the mbta moves, they can start to demo the area in question.

Also much less exciting, but they are going to start the process of connecting the new garage with north station garage at the end of this month beginning with knocking down some walls inside the existing garage.

Off topic but that middle pic really shows how bad the mansard roof is on the hilltop securities building...how does that thing not leak or fall down?

I think this was answered way upthread but can't find it, when the podiums are done, are they committed to immediately building the residential high rise?
