You can thank The Mount Vernon Company for almost single-handedly transforming Brainard Rd. I'm glad to see their efforts are such a success - hopefully they'll keep doing more of this. If the aB awards had a best developer category, they'd be my choice.

In other news of interest to the Irish (and anyone else that likes a wee drop)... Five Horses Tavern has put up their sign at the old Columbus Cafe space. Looks like another month or two on the buildout, windows still boarded. Guess they want to start a buzz early.

Great shot - shows how prominent this will be as you look up Tremont St. Hope the exterior materials are solid, the renderings make it look like a great addition to the street scape.

Not surprising, but he did get a lot of free publicity. From the rendering of the building, it looks like 1 or 2 levels of parking could fit nicely under it on the sloped site, without having to change the design above the street level on N. Beacon.

I believe you mean Zero Worcester Square. I worked on Zero Marlborough, slightly less gritty than Worcester Square. Reasonably nice looking project though, and hard to believe you can get a new construction 1 bed in the South End for under 1/2 Million.
