    Amazon HQ2 RFP

LA is currently expanding three subway lines, including twin tunnels under the downtown/financial district and another set of tunnels through the gaseous tar soils of west LA. They are putting multiple other metro extensions out to bid as we speak, with much more transit construction over the...

Northeastern University - Institutional Master Plan

Not sure why I never put up this interior shot:

The Hub on Causeway (née TD Garden Towers) | 80 Causeway Street | West End

^Throw in a pedestrian bridge direct to Northpoint and convert that county jail in between and you've got yourself even more space to work with.

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Part of that parcel is supposed to be an expansion of the park and another small, District Hall-type structure. The rest is to be developed into another mid-rise.

Northeastern University - Institutional Master Plan

Is the plan to remove that whole surface lot along the rail line? It's closed now.

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

Have we ever seen a rendering of the building with the antenna?

Education First (Phase III) | 10 North Point Blvd | Cambridge

Damn but that render cyclist gets confused easily and often. Maybe he's always just about to pass through and then he looks over and says, "Dammit, who is this dude taking my photo every five seconds? Can't a man in a floppy red cap just bicycle without everyone staring?"

Suffolk County Courthouse Discussion | 3 Pemberton Square | Government Center

To be clear, that article that is "sparking" this discussion is three years old. There is no news on the Suffolk County Courthouse, though they do plan to include yet another study of the building's future in next year's budget.

MassDOT Pike Parcels 12 - 15 | Boylston St. and Mass. Ave | Back Bay

I really doubt Parcel 13's proposed structure will be as bad as all that. At street level, the facade is pretty broken up by non-red-wall, and the facade material itself has far more definition than the State Transportation Building. Plus, this parcel is around 40% of that one in total square feet.

The Benjamin & VIA (née One Seaport Square) | Parcels B-C@Seaport Sq. | Seaport

Re: One Seaport Square | Parcels B-C@Seaport Sq. | Seaport Color me impressed. Now they just need to get to work on the Seaport Blvd. redesign construction to tie all of these new buildings together.

The Harlo (née Skanska Fenway Project (Burger King))| 1350 Boylston Street | Fenway

Re: Skanska Fenway Project (Burger King) | 1350 Boylston Street | Fenway It's cartoonish and funky and I love it.

New England Conservatory Residence Hall | St. Botolph St. | Back Bay

Plus, Phase II is supposed to build off of and emulate Phase I. And give a pretty solid makeover to the Gainsborough streetscape in the process. I was under the impression that NEC wanted to move right from one to the next.

Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

I wonder if people in the buildings around here realize how much this little stump is eventually going to dominate the area.

Seaport Square (Formerly McCourt Seaport Parcels)

Let me preface this by saying that I am not trying to restart the same discussion that has been had here many times, simply answering the above question: what would "people" have preferred? Real architecture. Buildings that don't just try to maximize profits. Buildings a long time ago before all...

Yotel Hotel | SPSQ parcel J | 65 Seaport Blvd | South Boston Waterfront

For all the failings of this particular project, it is what's visible in Beeline's last two photos that is the clear win here: the new pedestrian and bike connection to Farnsworth St.

One Greenway (Parcel 24) | 0 Kneeland Street | Chinatown

There's something I just love about buildings cropping up right next to the highway, like this one, the Ink Block, and Troy-- and someday the Flower Exchange. Maybe it's that our highways typically don't just kill a ton of space that becomes roads, they also tend to kill huge amounts of land...

McCormack Housing Complex Redo | Old Colony Avenue | South Boston

These redevelopment projects across the city's housing stock are some of the coolest developments going on. They will change the city in meaningful ways and vastly (hopefully) improve the neighborhoods they're going into. Obviously there's lots of politics involved too, but redeveloping sites...

Pierce Boston (née The Point )| Boylston St/Brookline Av | Fenway

According to the renders for this project, the panels are indeed supposed to be temporary.
